The diagnosis and treatment of thyroid carcinomas requires optimal cooperation between the family doctors, nuclear physicians, surgeons, internists, ENT doctors, pediatricians, pathologists and sometimes also radiation therapists, orthopedists, neurosurgeons and geneticists. In order to achieve the best possible results, the clarification, therapy planning and postoperative care must be carried out in a nuclear medicine department specialized in thyroid disease.
