Informationen in Englisch

Our Travel and Tropical Medicine Outpatient Clinic provides medical services to individuals prior to travel to any country in the world as well as to returning travellers with signs and symptoms suggestive of a travel-associated illness. Additionally, we focus on health problems in migrants and refugees and are specialised in the diagnostic and clinical work-up of ‘imported’ infectious diseases. All physicians in our multidisciplinary team are trained in travel medicine and our consultants have long-standing experience in tropical medicine.

Making an appointment at our clinic

Several types of visits that can be booked at our clinic:

COVID-19

Do you need a test for SARS-CoV-2, e.g. for international travel?

We offer quality-controlled PCR tests for SARS-CoV-2. Serological tests (IgG/IgA) are also available for travel purposes. Please note that we do not perform antigen detection tests for SARS-CoV-2.

When should this test be performed?

Most airlines accept tests that have been performed up to 48-72 hours prior to departure of the respective flight. Please contact your airline or travel agency to obtain the most up-to-date information.

When do I get the result of a SARS-CoV-2 PCR test?

Usually, you will receive your test result within 24 hours. In selected cases, we can arrange a same-day test result.

How do I get my test result?

Your test result will be sent to you via e-mail on an internationally accepted travel certificate in English language.

What should I do if I would like to have a COVID-19 test and additional travel medicine advice, vaccines, etc.?

In this case, please book the category "Erstvorstellung Reisemedizinische Beratung" in our online booking tool or contact us at reisemedizin@uks.eu.

Vaccination
