The DFG extended the runtime of the IRTG 1830 for another 4.5 years and will promote the Training Group with ca. 4 million €. The second period will start in December 2016. We congratulate sincere!

The German Council of Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat) recommends the establishment of a Centre for Preclinical Molecular Signal Processing (PZMS) at Saarland University. For this, a new research building is planned aside of the Centre for Integrative Physiology (CIPMM) on the campus Homburg (for about EUR 43.6 million), in which the working groups of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (Profs. van der Laan and Zimmermann), Cell Biology (Prof. Lipp), and Pharmacology/Toxicology (Profs.
