Neuroendoscopy Week 2017

6th Neuroendoscopy Week 2017

Dear colleagues,

Following the great success of the last years, it is my pleasure to announce the 6th Homburger Neuroendoscopy Week, which will take place from September 11th till 15th, at the Department of Neurosurgery Saarland University, Homburg-Saar / Germany, under the reputable auspices of the WSCS and the IFNE.

The workshop is divided into two modules, covering intracranial endoscopy (Module 1) and endoscopic spine surgery (Module 2). We will provide comprehensive lectures by international experts, interesting live surgery cases and hands-on-lessons on animal models and human cadavers.

The lectures will cover indications, surgical techniques and equipment selection, as well as personal experiences and pitfalls. Live surgery transmitted from the operation room will demonstrate endoscopic approaches - step by step. Additionally hands-on workshops will provide demonstrations of neuroendoscopic techniques and particpants will have the chance to enhance their surgical skills on cadavers and animal models. As before a selected variety of innovate neurosurgical products will be presented in the accompanying industrial exhibition. During the coffee breaks and the social program, the participants can exchange their own experiences and, at the same time, personally discuss special points and topics with the faculty members.

I am looking forward to welcome you in Homburg!

Yours sincerely,

Prof. Dr. med. Joachim Oertel
